Under the musical direction of Cuba's own Gilberto Alvarez, Colaó is actively revolutionizing the Latin Music scene with their style. Individually hand picked for their musical talents, almost all of the Colaó members have at least 10+ years of playing professionally around the world.

The variety of ethnical backgrounds that makes up Colaó, is also what inspired the name. Colaó is slang derived from the spanish word "colado" which means mixed. As such, with Puerto Rican, Dominican, Mexican and Cuban influences, Colaó is the best way to describe this one of a kind fusion of styles.

Colaó has focused on authenticity and reverting back to the early fundamentals of Latin music. Colaó is an experience.
